My name is Mike Connor. I am a senior-level flash developer based in New York City with fifteen years experience in new media and six years experience with Flash development. I graduated form the Interactive Telecommunications Program at NYU in 1997.
New
I have just taken a full-time position at Yahoo as a Rich Media Advertising Specialist.
In 2011, I formed Cloud Swing, Inc. – a one man shop Flash Development shop.
In 2009-2010, I worked full-time as the Senior Flash Developer at Vindicogroup where I developed the first and second versions of their Flash VPAID and VAST compliant ad-display app known as Xumo. But I’ve spent the most of my career freelancing. This has allowed me to work on a variety of projects and work with a lot of different development teams.
Featured Projects:
2008 – The Tube for Hyndai
The Tube:
Developed for Hyndai sales floor staff, this touch screen Flash kiosk was installed in dealerships across the country.
A Papervision3D menu displays a vast array of media (video, voice-overs, charts, animations, zoomb-able bitmaps with drawing tools) for every aspect of Hyundai’s new luxury car.
Users can drill down from major categories: interior, engineering, saftey, etc, down to interior levels revealing more detail, video clips, charts, and interactive tools.
2008 for Supernova.
Video Presentation Tool:
Developed for pharmacuetical sales staff, this application loads instructional videos, thumbnails, titles, descriptions, and pre-prepared timeline edits.
Videos are added to the video library and are tagged and sortable by subject, speaker, and title. The user can preview the videos and assemble and save playlist.
